Working out the size of the equal steps to find the rule for this pattern is not quite easy because some numbers are missing. You can still find the difference between a pair of numbers to help you if the rules is not given. The difference between the numbers is the rule. But some is difficult .. example 8, ____, 14, _____, 20
The difference between 8 and 14 is 6 the difference between 14 and 20 is also 6 but the difference has to be split into two equal steps each time
