Biology/grade 9-Today’s topic for revision-plant transport systems- course book- pages 94 and 95.
Main points-
The transport system that transports water up to the leaves is made of a tissue called xylem.
Plants also have a second transport system made up of a tissue called phloem which transports sucrose and amino acids from the leaves.
Group of xylem vessels and phloem tubes is called a vascular bundle.
Diagram of the transverse section of a root must be studied also.(Figure 8.6)
