Science/grade 5-Today’s topic -The Earth rotates on its axis- learner’s book- pages 86 and 87.
Main points-
Earth rotates on its axis from west to east.We call this movement rotation.
Earth completes one rotation every 24 hours.
Activity- 6.3- To use a model to show day and night.
Materials needed- a globe,a sticker and a torch.
As the earth spins - say day when the light shines on the sticker and night when no light shines on the sticker.
Homework worksheet is given on sun ,earth and the moon .
