The important points are
1.try to study table 12.1 ,12.2 & 12.3- all these tables show testing of cations and anions
For example : calcium chloride - CaCl2
In this compound 2 ions are present that are
* Cation - Ca 2+
* Anion - Cl -
Test for cation is flame test . result is brick red / orange- Red flame
Test for anion is solution should be tested with dilute nitric acid,then add aqueous silver nitrate
