Today's topic : testing for gases in Ur chemistry course book pg no : 299 & 300
The important points are 1.test for carbon dioxide - limewater test.
Result : lime water changes to milky colour if Carbon dioxide present in that.& White precipitate of calcium carbonate formed
2.Ammonia - litmus paper test
Result : turns indicators papers to blue
3. Chlorine - litmus paper or universal indicator paper test
Result : blue litmus paper will turn red first & indicator paper is bleached white..
