Giving advice and instructions

Good morning grade 6
Today we will study the use of NEED/ SHOULD/ MUSTN'T for giving advice and instructions


We use SHOULD + VERB to give advice
FOR EXAMPLE
1- you should speak slowly, so other students can understand you
2- He should warm up before playing football
3- They should be quiet while the teacher explaining the lesson

We use NEED + TO VERB when we speak about necessary something
FOR EXAMPLE
1- Car's tank is empty, we need to put petrol
2- They need to get up at 6:00 o'clock because they have meeting at 6:30
3- My arm is broken, I need to visit the doctor

We use MUSTN'T + VERB when something is not allowed
FOR EXAMPLE
1- You mustn't smoke in the hospital
2- They mustn't use pencils in the final exam
3- I mustn't speak in the meeting while the manager is speaking
