The use of past continuous tense

Good morning grade 6
Today we will study the use of past continuous tense

FORM :  Subject + WAS/WERE + V.ING + OBJECT

we use the past continuous to speak about an action happened and lasted for some time at the past
FOR EXAMPLE
1- He was playing football
2- She was eating her breakfast
3- They were camping yesterday
4- We were studying last nigh

Look at these examples and focus on the use of (was/were) with different pronouns, you will find that

(WAS comes after ( I - he - she - it  

(WERE comes after ( we - you - they
