What is a sentence and 4 types of sentences

Today we will learn about what a sentence is and what the 4 types of sentences are. A sentence is a word or group of words that has complete thought. It ends with a full stop, exclamation point or question mark.  There are 4 kinds of sentences  according to use
A. Assertive or Declarative is a sentence that states something.
B.Interrogative is a sentence that asks a question
C. Exclamatory is a sentence that expresses a strong feeling
D. Imperative is a sentence that gives order , command or a request.
