Past simple tense

Good morning grade 6
Today we will study the use of past simple

THE FORM : Subject + verb in past + object

We use the past simple to express actions happened at a specific time in the past

Look at the following examples please
1- I played football yesterday
2- She cooked for us last night
3- They went to the zoo last week


All these actions happened at the past, and we put it in the past simple tense because we want to focus on the time of the action

HOW TO COMPOSE A NEGATIVE SENTENCE USING PAST SIMPLE TENSE
THE FORM : Subject + Didn't + Main verb + Object

FOR EXAMPLE:
1- Ali didn't play football yesterday
2- She didn't go to the zoo last week
3- We didn't answer homework of the last period

HOW TO COMPOSE A QUESTION USING PAST SIMPLE TENSE
THE FORM : Did + Subject + Main verb + Object

FOR EXAMPLE :
1- Did you listen to music last night ?
2- Did you speak to your mother last week ?
3- Did you see marks of the previous semester?
