"The pronoun "It

Good morning grade 5
Today we will study the use of the pronoun ( IT )

We use ( IT ) instead of the name of the PLACE, OBJECT or ANIMAL, so that we don't repeat the name
FOR EXAMPLE :
1- The ant eats sugar.    We can remove the subject which is ( THE ANT ) and put the pronoun it, so the sentence becomes It eats sugar

2- The weather seems to be hot today.   We can remove the subject which is ( THE WEATHER ) and put the pronoun It, so the sentence becomes It seems to be hot today

Imagine that we are writing a paragraph about the green snake. We don't need to repeat the word green snake in all sentences. We can use the pronoun ( it ) to refer to the green snake

Look at the following example
The green snake lives in the fields, It has beautiful eyes and long green body, It eats grass and insects, it doesn't attack people. It lays eggs to get new babies.

Imagine that you are reading the word " green snake " in all sentences, you will find it so boring

FOR MORE PRACTICE, write at least three sentences about THE CAMEL using the word ( camel ) in the first sentence and the pronoun ( It ) in the following sentences
