2.the rows are called periods
3.The columns are called groups
4. Metals are towards left side of the table and non metals are on the right hand side.
5. Metals : lithium, magnesium, sodium and potassium, aluminum
6.Non metals : Helium, oxygen, Fluorine,neon, chlorine etc..
