Past perfect tense

Good morning grade 6
Today we will study the past perfect

We use the past perfect to express something happened at the past but before something else happened at the past
Look at the following examples please
1- He had cleaned the room
2- She had fixed her car
3- They had visited the new museum
4- The team had worked hard on the project
5- The footballer had trained well for the champion ship

From the previous examples you can understand the FORM of the past perfect
FORM : Subject + Had + Past participle + Object

To make negative sentence Just put " NOT " after had
1- He hadn't cleaned the room
2- She hadn't fixed her car
3- They hadn't visited the new museum

FORMING QUESTIONS using the past perfect tense
1- Had she talked to him?
2- Had the trained well?
3- Had they paid for their dinner?
4- Had she driven her car?
