The important points are
1.Energy can be transferred through a vacuum or transparent substance by infra - red radiation
2. Matt ( not shiny ) black surfaces are good at absorbing radiation
example: In oven ,often it's inside painted black - then , as it heats up, it radiates Energy at the food.
3.shiny surfaces are good at reflecting radiation
