1.Many substance are made up of more than one kind of atom.if the different sorts of atoms are joined together , then the substance is a compound
2. A compound has completely different properties from the elements from which it is made.
3.each compound has its own chemical formula
4.the formula tells you which elemeo the compound contains and how many atoms of each element are combined together.
