Good morning grade 6

Today we're going to study Unit 7 / Lesson 2 : The joy in the job

First we will study the meaning of new words  
1- CAMERA OPERATOR : A person who controls the camera that films scenes for TV
2- REPORTER :  A person who collects and reports news for newspapers, TV and radio
3- PRESENTER : A person who introduces a TV programme
4- DIRECTOR : A person who tells the actor and the presenter what to do and how to react
5- WEATHER FORECASTER : A person who presents information about the weather to TV audiences



Now, let's move to the second part which is the use of skimming strategy while reading a text

First, we need to understand what is the meaning of skimming
SKIMMING:  is to read the the topic quickly first to get the general idea of the whole text. Then read the text more slowly to understand the main topic of each paragraph

Skimming help you more in
1- Knowing what kind of the topic you're reading ? Is it fiction, science, religious
2- Get the main idea, especially for long texts

How to practice skimming ?
Read the most important parts of the text which is ( title, look at pictures, read the first paragraph and read the first sentence in other paragraphs ).
